Senior Unreal Engine Developer
Remote (US-based, EST hours)
Full-time | Up to $90,000 USD
We're working with a small, independent studio building tools and interactive experiences across simulation, 3D visualisation, and real-time production. Their projects cover a mix of sectors—from interactive environments and property platforms to custom workflows supporting creative and technical teams.
They’re looking for experienced Unreal Engine developers with strong C++ skills to join a remote-first team working on technically interesting, real-world projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop modular tools and pipelines in Unreal Engine
- Extend interactive systems including AI, simulation, and real-time UX
- Build practical, production-ready tools that solve day-to-day challenges
- Optimise systems that support asset management, visual workflows, and UI
- Prototype and refine VR features
- Collaborate with artists and developers to solve creative-technical challenges
- Help maintain version control systems (Perforce)
Skills & Experience
- Proficient in modern C++ with strong object-oriented design
- Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine—including GUI, material system, and build processes
- Familiarity with Blueprint logic and how to convert it into clean C++
- Experience with shaders, and profiling tools
- Understand good coding discipline: maintainability, structure, documentation
- Comfortable working in Perforce (or strong general version control experience)
- Python scripting experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to align with design and user goals
Bonus Points For
- Experience with cloud deployment (e.g. Linux builds, Kubernetes, remote rendering)
- Houdini workflows or real-time content pipelines
- Previous exposure to virtual production or interactive visualisation projects

- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Must be available during core EST working hours
- Comfortable working independently with remote teams
