We’re working with a globally recognised, multiple award-winning production company that specialises in delivering full project lifecycle immersive experiences across visitor attractions, large-scale installations, and interactive brand activations. Their projects span multiple industries, creating environments that challenge expectations and inspire.
Owing to the award of a large number of multi-million-pound projects, they’re actively seeking an experienced Technical Director to join their team of industry innovators!
As part of their senior leadership team, the Technical Director will be actively responsible for:
- Project Leadership: Oversee the technical aspects of immersive projects from concept through delivery, ensuring a smooth process across all stages.
- Team and Resource Management: Manage internal and external technical teams, budgets, and schedules, ensuring efficient resource use while delivering high-quality results.
Quality Control: Ensure flawless execution of all technical components, maintaining high standards across software, hardware, and interactive elements.
Problem-Solving: Resolve technical challenges during development, production, and installation. - Client Engagement: Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure technical implementations meet or exceed project goals.
- Creative and Technical Collaboration: Work closely with Designers and Creative Directors to align technical solutions with creative visions.
- Technology Integration: Implement advanced technologies like AR/VR and projection mapping to meet project objectives.
Qualifications
To qualify for this exciting opportunity, the company is seeking an experienced Technical Director who is highly proficient in AV systems. Additionally, they will also have:

Extensive experience leading technical projects in immersive environments, including interactive installations, AR/VR, and projection mapping.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple large-scale projects while meeting deadlines and budgets.

Proven ability to translate creative ideas into functional, practical solutions that maintain artistic integrity.

Expertise in resolving technical challenges, troubleshooting equipment, and delivering high-quality installations.

Ability to lead and mentor technical teams, with a focus on collaborative problem-solving and knowledge sharing.

Exceptional communication skills for effectively working with both technical and creative teams as well as clients.
