Position Overview:
The Systems Engineer will play a key role in supporting ongoing projects and will report directly to the Head of Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design, development, and implementation of advanced systems in-line with industry standards.
- Working closely with project managers and cross-functional teams across different locations, ensuring objectives and requirements are achieved.
- Preparing and delivering materials for design reviews to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Overseeing subcontractor deliverables and reviewing their work and outputs.
- Creating and maintaining engineering documentation, including system architectures, requirements documents, test plans, and design specifications.
- Conducting feasibility studies and producing detailed technical reports.
Essential Skills:
- A solid understanding of training simulation systems and platforms/systems (preferred).
- Demonstrable experience in the specification, design, and delivery of complex systems, including full lifecycle management.
- A proven track record in Systems Engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle and associated best practices.
- Ability to interpret customer requirements and understand their operational context.
- Proficiency in designing system architectures using tools and modelling languages such as SysML.
- Experience with integration, testing, and presenting verification results to stakeholders.
- Excellent technical writing skills with experience presenting documentation to stakeholders.
