Salary: £65,000 – £70,000
Location: Hybrid – UK-based (with flexible remote options)

An established team working on complex digital twin projects is hiring a Senior Unreal Engine Developer to contribute to the development of real-time, large-scale simulations using Unreal Engine 5. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys performance optimisation, scalable system design, and technically challenging interactive experiences.

You’ll work in close collaboration with artists, technical directors, and engineers to help deliver accurate, high-fidelity environments driven by real-world systems and data. This is a hands-on technical position, combining Blueprints and C++ development with architectural input and cross-functional problem-solving.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Developing complex, real-time visualisations in Unreal Engine 5
  • Creating scalable, maintainable systems using both Blueprints and C++
  • Profiling and optimising performance across CPU, GPU, and memory
  • Integrating live data sources, 3D assets, and interactive components
  • Collaborating on project planning, architecture, and code reviews

What We’re Looking For

  • Professional experience with Unreal Engine (ideally UE5)
  • Confident using Blueprints, with solid knowledge of C++ for performance-critical systems
  • Understanding of engine-level bottlenecks and how to address them
  • Comfortable working on large, data-driven or simulation-based projects
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across disciplines

Bonus Experience

  • Integrating APIs or external data into Unreal environments
  • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g. Git or Perforce)
  • Background in large worlds, digital twins, or high-fidelity interactive experiences

Why Join?

  • Clear Progression: Move into lead or specialist roles with structured support
  • Technically Engaging Projects: Contribute to large-scale, performance-sensitive work for well-known clients
  • Established Environment: Join a stable team with a strong pipeline and recognised delivery record
