Motion Graphics Artist

Contract | London | £250.00 - £300.00 Per Day | Job No: 1915

Freelance Motion Designer (Cinema 4D / After Effects / Redshift or Octane)
UK based – Remote role
Circa 2 week contract with the potential to extend

About the Project

We’re working with a leading creative studio mid-way through a B2C motion design project centred on nature, including animated animals, natural environments, and scenic transitions.

They’re looking to bring in a Motion Designer to support the existing team and keep momentum through the final phase.

The work is well underway, with a clear visual direction in place. You'll be responsible for delivering specific sequences that align with the project's established style and production pipeline.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Motion Designer, you’ll take ownership of scenes involving nature-based content—this includes animal animation, environmental motion, and complementary visual effects.

You’ll:

  • Create polished motion sequences using Cinema 4D, After Effects, and either Redshift or Octane
  • Work with pre-built assets to animate animals and environments within the existing look and feel
  • Respond to creative briefs and feedback, delivering scenes that are consistent with the project direction
  • Apply appropriate lighting, movement, and camera work to support composition and pacing
  • Ensure assets are prepped for render/delivery and meet visual quality expectations
  • Work independently, while syncing regularly with the internal team for reviews and updates

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • Proven project experience as a Motion Designer on content involving nature, wildlife, or environment-based storytelling
  • Proficient in Cinema 4D, After Effects, and either Redshift or Octane
  • Confident working with animated 3D scenes involving animals and organic environments
  • Able to take direction and deliver well-executed visuals on a tight timeline
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote team setup
  • Available from 2nd June

Nice to Have

  • Experience with X-Particles or other natural simulation tools
  • Strong sense of layout, composition, and visual clarity
  • Background in short-form commercial, experiential, or environmental storytelling

This brief suits a Motion Designer with a portfolio that clearly demonstrates experience working on nature-themed or wildlife-related content—ideally for B2C or experiential projects.
