Junior 2D Designer (Freelance to Perm)
Up to £300/day freelance | £35k – £40k salary perm

We’re working with a creative-led team looking for a Junior Designer with a strong 2D focus to join them on a freelance-to-perm basis. You’ll be working across visual assets for brand launches, cultural campaigns, and commercial presentations—high-impact, highly visible projects that demand clean, engaging design.

Your core skill will be 2D design. You'll use After Effects primarily to bring layouts to life with simple motion where needed, but the priority is always the design itself—typography, layout, hierarchy, and visual clarity.

This is a junior position with plenty of potential. You’ll start on a short freelance contract, with the view to go perm if it’s the right match.

What you’ll do

• Design 2D layouts, visuals, and graphics for campaigns and sales material
• Create simple motion where appropriate using After Effects
• Support the commercial and creative teams with design-led visuals
• Work onsite in Central London 3 days a week

What they’re looking for

• Strong eye for composition, layout, and type
• Confident using After Effects, but design comes first
• Adobe Suite fluency, especially Illustrator and Photoshop
• A portfolio that shows sharp design thinking and attention to detail
• Able to take feedback and iterate quickly
• Available to start within the next 1–2 weeks

• Up to £300/day freelance (initial 4-week contract)
• Circa £35k – £40k perm salary if extended
