Permanent, Full-Time
We’re working with a long-standing client that’s been delivering award-winning, highly memorable immersive environments for many years. Their work spans museums, cultural attractions, theme parks and branded destinations.
They combine creative vision with robust technical delivery, building story-led spaces that are both engaging and operationally solid. Their projects run the full lifecycle, from early concept through to long-term support. Global clients trust them to get it right, on time and on budget.
They’re now looking to bring in a technically minded AV Systems Designer/Engineer to support their team. This is a ‘desk-based’ role focused on documentation, design support and systems accuracy across multiple live projects.
It’s a great fit for an experienced AV Systems Designer/Engineer who enjoys the structure and logic of systems work. If you’re someone who finds satisfaction in solving problems, refining designs and making sure everything fits together properly, this will suit you.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the site-based project team with desk-based technical input, documentation and guidance
- Creating system documentation such as cable schedules, connection diagrams, rack layouts and integration notes
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting to internal teams and external partners
- Writing operation and maintenance manuals for handover
- Contributing to lighting control programming and AV device configuration when required
- Helping ensure that systems are robust, logical and well documented
What they’re looking for
- Solid experience in AV system design and documentation; especially cable schematics and layout drawings
- Strong experience with AutoCAD, plus experience programming systems like Alcorn McBride, AVStumpfl, Pixera, AMX, Pharos, ETC or Crestron
- Strong technical writing skills and a clear, methodical approach to documentation
- Confidence working independently and managing your own time
Why this role?
You’ll join a small, highly talented team of creative and technical professionals who genuinely love their work. In addition, you’ll be working on varied, highly rewarding projects, where your input will shape systems that power some of the most exciting and memorable visitor experiences in the world.
