About the Project

We’re looking for a contract 2D Animator with strong After Effects skills to support a fast-turnaround creative project, bringing a set of professionally illustrated assets to life. The role focuses on animating existing characters and environments.

Your job will be to enhance the narrative through thoughtful, expressive motion while staying true to the original visual style.

You’ll need to bring movement, energy and detail to the assets, maintaining the visual integrity of the source material while adding clarity and impact through animation.

About the Studio

You’ll be working with a leading London-based creative agency that brings together architecture, technology, and live experience.

The studio’s in-house creative and production teams regularly partner with freelance specialists, especially 2D Animators, motion design, and interactive content, especially for projects with ambitious timelines and high visual standards.

Key Skills & Experience

We're looking for a 2D Animator who can demonstrate

• Strong experience animating 2D characters and environments using supplied artwork
• Confident working with layered character rigs and environment files
• Proficient in After Effects and/or Spine (or similar 2D animation tools)
• Excellent understanding of animation principles—timing, easing, and visual storytelling
• Able to work independently from a brief, with strong attention to detail
• Reliable and fast, with a track record of delivering polished results on short deadlines

Nice to Have

• Experience animating for games, interactive content, or spatial media
• Familiarity with 2D rigging or puppeting techniques
• Ability to add light motion design or effects to support narrative moments
