In recent weeks, they've made a major investment to turn some of their space into a virtual production studio, have spared no expense with the LED panels and hardware, and have created a state-of-the-art brain bar with the latest technology available.

The VP stage will be mainly used for short-form content (marketing/advertising shoots) and is set to go live in Mid-Feburary 2023. They already have major interest from their existing clients who want to book the stage for shoots.

Owing to this, the company has an exciting opportunity for a Video System/AV Engineer to join their Virtual Production team.

Reporting to the head of studio, you'll be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the network systems and video processors on a volume and the communication between components.

The Video System/AV Engineer will also deal with numerous mobile cart setups. You'll also work closely with the other VP team members, with other duties including:

  • Ongoing care and upkeep of Virtual Production, including cameras, tracking systems, cabling, AV signal flow
  • Collaborate with the camera department on set and be responsible for carrying out calibration workflows between takes or lens changes
  • Responsible for working with the on-set camera department to mount the Virtual Production data tracking hardware during shooting
  • Assist with daily calibration of the volume and calibration of new tracking objects
  • Work with the Virtual Production team to troubleshoot video feed, tracking, and calibration issues
  • Efficiently communicate any changeover status or camera changes to the Virtual Production team
