About the Company
You’ll be working with a world-leading provider of real-time graphics for major sports events and broadcasters worldwide, which is currently seeking an experienced Environment Artist with a strong background in Unreal Engine. With an extensive client portfolio that includes the largest broadcasters across the UK, Europe, and the US, as well as working on the largest events in the world that are seen by billions.
About the Role
The Environment Artist will play a crucial role as a key member of a small team, responsible for creating a range of environments for virtual television studios used in live broadcast productions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved in virtual TV studios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Lead Environment Artist, clients, and colleagues to design, revise, and build 3D television studio environments in Unreal Engine.
- Create and edit all 2D and 3D content, including geometries, textures, and materials, as required.
- Optimize environments for real-time performance while maintaining high visual quality.
- Stay updated on relevant tools and technologies such as PBR and photo-realistic rendering, VR, and digital content creation tools.
What do I need to apply?
As the Environment Artist, you’ll have excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine, and strong skills in modeling, lighting, and textures, with a focus on architectural designs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with team members from different disciplines.
A background in architectural visualization (Archviz) or interior/stage design, familiarity with the Blueprint visual scripting system, proficiency in Perforce version control, animation and motion design abilities, and prior experience in broadcast production environments.
