We’re currently recruiting a Lead Character Artist for a leading creative studio that focuses on producing world-class real-time worlds and humans for VR and entertainment projects across the globe. With the pioneering use of technology, they are continually winning new work and once the key hire of several roles including Lead Character Artist, will see the business grow from 90 to 200 people by the end of 2023.
The Role
As the Lead Character Artist, you’ll be overseeing a team of 5 Characters supporting them in the production of high-quality avatars and metahumans for the metaverse, as well as playing a pivotal role in the development of the team, with opportunities for progression to Art Director.
You’ll be responsible for creating realistic human models, working with base assets, and creating digital hair, and digital clothing.

What do I need to apply?
To be considered for the Lead Character Artist role you will have at least 10 years of experience working within a production role, across any industry such as film, TV, or gaming. You’ll have an excellent understanding of Unreal Engine 4 or 5, along with extensive knowledge of the character pipeline including modelling and rigging, animation and motion capture and lighting.
