Junior AV/Broadcast Project Engineer
We are partnering with a leading global AV and Broadcast technology company.
With a team of over 1,500 professionals and an annual turnover of more than £300 million, this global leader is recognised for delivering captivating installations that engage audiences worldwide.
Owing to major growth, they’re looking to hire a Junior Project Engineer with at least 2 years of AV or Broadcast Engineering experience to support the creation of immersive experiences across the UK, Ireland, and Europe.
Ther projects include:
- Projection displays on iconic landmarks
- Interactive exhibits in prestigious museums
- AV systems for international sporting events
- Engaging corporate environments for global companies
As a Junior AV/Broadcast Project Engineer, you will be an integral part of their creative and technical teams, helping to turn imaginative concepts into real-world experiences that captivate millions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the technical aspects of various projects: Assist in the planning and execution of AV projects by providing technical support and expertise throughout all phases, from initial concept to final delivery.
- Assist in developing detailed designs and schematics using CAD software: Work with senior engineers, creating accurate designs and schematics using CAD software. These designs will be used to guide the installation and integration of AV systems.
- Participate in site surveys to inform project planning: Conduct site visits to assess project requirements, measure spaces, and identify any potential challenges. Use the information gathered to help develop project plans and ensure successful implementation.
- Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team: Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, including project managers, designers, and engineers, to ensure all technical aspects align with project goals and client expectations.
- Contribute to technical proposals to secure new business: Assist in the preparation of technical proposals by providing input on system design, technical feasibility, and resource requirements. Help the team present compelling solutions that meet client needs and support business growth.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years current experience in AV or Broadcast Engineering: Demonstrated experience in the audio-visual or Broadcast industry
- Basic proficiency in CAD or AutoCAD: Ability to use AutoCAD for creating technical drawings, as well as proficiency in standard IT tools like Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Strong communication and organisational skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
