AV Systems Designer – High profile LED Wall fixed installation project AV Systems Designer

A global studio specialising in the design and delivery of complex fixed and temporary immersive installations is looking for an AV Systems Designer for an initial 2-month contract.

This AV Systems Designer role would suit someone with a background in system design, design engineering, solutions architecture or technical management who can step into live projects quickly and produce clear, practical technical outputs. AV systems design experience and LED design experience are both essential. BIM or Revit exposure would be useful, but is not essential.

The AV Systems Designer will support the technical design and coordination of integrated systems across immersive environments, helping translate project requirements into accurate, buildable design documentation. The role could also suit a Design Engineer, Solutions Architect or Technical Manager with hands-on experience in AV and LED systems design for complex physical environments.

What you’ll be doing

• Producing AV system designs and technical documentation for project delivery
• Developing layouts, schematics and coordinated design package
• Supporting the design of integrated technical systems within immersive installations
• Leading on AV and LED-related design input across live projects
• Working closely with technical, design and project teams to ensure solutions are practical and deliverable
• Using BIM or Revit where applicable to support coordination across wider project teams
• Applying a system design approach to technical problem-solving across complex environments

What they’re looking for

• Proven experience as an AV Systems Designer or in a comparable system design role
• Strong AV systems design experience
• LED design experience is essential
• Experience as a Design Engineer, Solutions Architect or Technical Manager may also be relevant if it includes hands-on design responsibility
• Ability to create clear, accurate technical design documentation
• Understanding of how AV and LED systems integrate into wider physical environments
• BIM or Revit exposure is useful, but not essential
• Able to join a contract role and add value quickly

Contract details

• Initial 2-month contract
• Immediate or near-term availability preferred
• Day rate dependent on experience
• Project-focused delivery environment
